Christmas Stocking Ideas
I don't seem to remember the story of where the original Christmas stocking came from, but the Christmas stocking has now become an indelible part of the yearly Christmas tradition. You can knit your own Christmas stocking if your adept with knitting needles or you can buy them from the store and hang them over the fireplace.
Hanging up your Christmas stocking can be a fun thing to do because it’s always a challenge to fill up your stocking with the most interesting stuff. Toys, candy and Christmas crackers always make a fine fit into the average Christmas stocking. In case you're feeling extra generous this Christmas it would be a smart idea to make your Christmas stocking a bit bigger to accommodate all the loving treats you can pack it with.
There are lots of designs and colors you can choose for a Christmas stocking. You should use designs and colors that speak of Christmas, colors like green, red and white are perfect for a Christmas stocking because these are colors people associate with during Christmas. Green for the trees, Red for Santa and White for the snow. If you're not into creating your own Christmas stocking you can easily pick up one at the local store as stores are bound to have lovely types of Christmas stocking available for sale during the season
The Christmas stocking is one of the little things that make Christmas worth looking forward to every year. It's important we make the little things count and make Christmas enjoyable for ourselves as well as our children. Some traditions should never fade away and the idea of the Christmas stocking during the yuletide is one of them.
